Because aren't going to have a zendo pet, and it makes no sense for me to acquire a cat right now.
Though s/he obviously feels otherwise (after a few minutes of petting, trying to dart inside "so where do you keep the food bowl, anyway?")
S/he reminds me so much of Ari... polydactyl, even!
