Through the bathroom skylight I can see the moon -- waning, but barely past full, veiled by a thin covering of clouds, behind the bare branches of a big leafed maped, oddly shaped, with an explosion of bent branches out of the central trunk, reaching upwards like a hand with too many fingers.
