Prayers for a kitty?
Mar. 12th, 2003 10:09 pmMany of you know Craig's kitty Nikko. Some of you have met various of her children (Ari, Gwinn, Turpin and others) and her grandchildren (Adzuki Binah, Squeak, Jane, Giles...)
Well, one of her grandchildren, Rob Robber, the boy with thumbs (the only polydactyl boy of Nikko's line) is one very sick kitty right now. This is Lauren and Tracey's cat. Monday morning he was sick all over Lauren's bed, and then disappeared. When he didn't show up in time for dinner, and didn't respond to calling and searching the neighborhood I was called by Lauren (with Tracey crying in the background, he and Rob have always been very close) who thought he might be gone. The next morning she found him, but he was one sick kitty, and has been in the vet ever since.
Apparently his urinary tract was blocked, and his kidneys backed up. He's still at the vet, he may or may not make it.
(And yeah, Lauren can't afford all the vet bills, so I'm going to probably be covering a chunk of them. Cuc is sitting on my desk right now reminding me that he's 14 and quite healthy, and much more likely to stay that way if I drop everything and feed him now.)
