Someone put my brain in a blender
Jul. 3rd, 2003 12:42 amI swear to god. I was sitting there running my fingers over the knotted muscles around my temple this afternoon, trying to figure out why I'm not in more pain. I mean yeah, I'm sore, but from other bits of how much body's acting I couldn't figure out why I'm not hurting way more... Oh yeah, the fancy anti-inflamatories I'm on are also supposed to have a major analgesic effect. Really, that only just now occurred to me. But I'm impressed! (So many pain pills I can't take, I forget that there are things other than narcotics.) However, they aren't supposed to make me stoned, so that's probably just another aftereffect of the accident. I'm mostly in a decent mood, but I can't keep track of what I'm doing to save my life.
My accomplishments for the day: Washed a few dishes. Made bechamel for the mini mousakas. Made a couple appointments for next week. Watered the front garden. Went to the PCC with Craig. (And confirmed my general impression that driving isn't really a plan right at the moment. At least farther than a few blocks.)
I think tomorrow I'll try to spend some time outside, if the weather's decent. I wish I'd gotten the hammock set up. I need to get the winter gardening article done, too.
